Night Shift Manager
About The Position
The Night Shift Manager works under the direction of the Warehouse Manager and is responsible for night-shift warehouse operations. This includes overseeing the pulling and staging of outgoing products and loading delivery trucks, as well as training and directing teammates. The manager must be able to perform all related warehouse positions and help wherever needed in operations, including covering absences. The role also includes staffing and scheduling responsibilities, employee development and accountability, workplace safety and conflict resolution, securing the building at the end of the shift, and responding to after-hours alarms.
Responsibilities
- Uphold the company’s Mission, Vision, and Values, and take ownership and pride in the job.
- Oversee the pulling and staging of outgoing products and the loading of delivery trucks, ensuring the correct tires are loaded correctly every time.
- Supervise, direct, train, coach, motivate, appreciate, and develop teammates.
- Track each teammate’s productivity and hold teammates accountable for reaching goals.
- Coordinate with the Warehouse Manager on tasks and areas for improvement.
- Handle employee recruiting, staffing, scheduling, time cards, evaluations, and safety responsibilities.
- Manage and resolve workplace conflicts using company values as a guide.
- Secure the building before leaving by turning off lights, setting the alarm, and locking doors.
- Respond to after-hours alarms.
- Be able to perform all employees’ job duties and cross-train employees.
- Help with other duties as needed and cover within operations when employees are absent.
- Report issues or concerns to the supervisor.
