This position is for a Mechanic Technician responsible for performing timely repairs and routine maintenance on equipment. The role involves preventive maintenance, addressing emergency and unplanned problems, and utilizing precision measuring instruments and electrical/electronic testing devices. The technician will read complex blueprints, piping, sketches, and schematics, and use various power tools. Responsibilities include inspecting gearboxes, motors, belts, and other operating devices, checking fluid levels, lubricating bearings, replacing filters, and performing other maintenance actions according to established checklists. The role also requires recognizing and diagnosing mechanical failures, determining corrective actions, and consulting blueprints, manuals, and parts catalogs. The job may involve working in high heat and cold environments, at heights, and in confined spaces. The ability to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods is necessary. Pipe repairs and welding/fabrication skills are preferred.
