About The Position

The Maintenance Supervisor ensures that all maintenance activities and operations are smoothly conducted and that all facilities' systems are functioning appropriately. Follow all plant standard operating procedures. The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for the supervision of the maintenance staff, and any corrective or preventative maintenance procedures within the plant on the night shift. This position reports to the Maintenance Manager.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent certification.
  • Strong electrical, welding, hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, industrial, PLC experience.
  • Ability to speak, read, and write English.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be well-organized with good attention to detail.
  • Display a strong work ethic and positive attitude.
  • Adaptable and dependable with the ability to follow directions and work cooperatively with others.
  • Must maintain a helpful and professional attitude and appearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior rendering experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Supervises and performs highly diversified duties concerning production and facility and installs and maintains facility grounds, buildings, and other facility equipment.
  • Supervises installing and replacing motors, pumps, drives, belts, filters, gears, chains, and valves on process equipment, facility equipment, and forklifts.
  • Oversees repairs to machines involving machine guarding, bolt replacement, and breakdowns due to mechanical wear.
  • Assign team members preventative maintenance tasks on facility equipment.
  • Provides leadership for Maintenance technicians performing preventative maintenance, equipment installs, parts replacement, equipment troubleshooting, etc.
  • Understand the tools and equipment needed to do each job.
  • Understand and determine when and what type of maintenance is needed.
  • Determines causes of operating errors and can tell when something is likely to go wrong before downtime occurs.
  • Keeps record of all work performed.
  • Updates maintenance history logs and completes required paperwork.
  • Accounts for equipment used for maintenance and repairs.
  • Understands and follows the company GMP policy.
  • Understands and follows the company safety rules.
  • May be required to work long hours and weekends as needed.
  • Other duties and projects as needed.
