About The Position

The Night Crew Loader pulls and prepares material for delivery, including carbon, aluminum, and stainless steel. The employee bundles and stages material on designated delivery racks, then loads completed orders onto a bobtail or flatbed trailer according to a load list. The role also involves wrapping and packaging material, maintaining equipment through daily checklists, following safety guidelines, cleaning the yard, and completing other assigned duties.

Work takes place outdoors in varying weather conditions, including cold, heat, rain, and wind. Employees may be exposed to paint and cutting fumes, and noise levels vary. The environment is fast-paced, with frequent changes to schedules and priorities and short-notice activity. Physical tasks include pulling, pushing, and stacking material; bending, standing, walking, lifting, and climbing ladders and forklifts. Occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds is required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of forklift experience.
• Ability to read and write in English.
• Experience or ability to use a forklift, overhead crane, and propane torch.
• Ability to measure using calipers and a tape measure.
• Valid California driver’s license.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Accurately pull material for delivery.
• Gather carbon, aluminum, or stainless-steel material, bundle it, and stage it on the designated delivery rack.
• Load orders onto a bobtail or flatbed trailer using a load list.
• Wrap and package material.
• Comply with safety guidelines.
• Perform general yard cleanup.
• Maintain equipment using daily checklists.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
