About The Position

Schulte Hospitality Group is hiring a part-time Night Auditor for Hotel Duval, an Autograph Collection hotel in Tallahassee, Florida. The Night Auditor closes out the prior day and prepares the hotel and morning team for the next day, combining overnight guest service with accounting, front desk, security, and organizational duties. The position provides overnight guests with professional, personalized service and serves as a dependable point of contact while helping maintain a safe, welcoming hotel environment. The role includes auditing the daily guest ledger; completing end-of-day accounting, including posting room rates and taxes; verifying guest folio charges; calculating revenues across accounts receivable; handling front desk check-ins, checkouts, reservations, and guest concerns; making cash drops; and organizing the front desk for the morning shift. The Night Auditor also monitors the hotel security camera system and helps ensure the lobby is maintained, properly lit, and has music at an appropriate volume. Work may include nights, weekends, and holidays as needed. Requirements

Minimum of 1 year of experience in an accounting or Night Auditor role.
Knowledge of a property management system (PMS).
High school diploma or GED.
Ability to multitask.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work as a team player.
Ability to exceed guest expectations.
Basic accounting and math skills.
Dependability, self-motivation, and comfort making sound decisions independently.
Attention to detail, organization, planning, and comfort with numbers and technology.

Nice To Haves

Previous Marriott experience.
Familiarity with Opera PMS; not required.
A positive attitude, attention to detail, and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

Audit the daily guest ledger.
Handle end-of-day accounting functions, including posting daily room rates and room taxes.
Ensure all charges to guest folios are accurate.
Calculate the sum of revenues of accounts receivable from food, rooms, and other departments.
Act as a front desk clerk by checking guests in and out, booking reservations, and resolving guest issues.
Make cash drops in accordance with cash-handling procedures.
Organize the front desk so the morning staff can prepare for their shift.
Monitor the hotel security camera system.
Ensure the lobby is well-maintained, properly lit, and has music at an appropriate volume.
Prepare arrivals, review reservations, anticipate guest needs, and organize information for the morning team.
Complete night audit procedures, reconcile transactions, and balance daily reports.
Identify potential challenges and help develop solutions before the next shift arrives.
Provide warm, personalized service to overnight guests and handle requests and unexpected situations professionally.
Maintain a safe, welcoming, and professionally managed environment overnight.
Communicate clearly with the incoming team during shift handoff.
Work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned.
