About The Position

The main responsibility of the Night Auditor is managing the nightly audit routine, protecting the integrity of the building and all assets contained within. This role involves reconciling and completing all daily front desk agent work, running trial balances to post rooms, and closing the day. Duties may include performing Front Desk Agent tasks if required, ensuring all reports are completed correctly and distributed, and reconciling all interfaces to balance with the PMS system audit. The Night Auditor will maintain control over cash accounts and balance the revolving bank, address guest complaints and requests professionally, and ensure all matters are resolved or addressed with the appropriate department head. Additionally, this role provides next-day reports for various departments and handles all incoming calls and messages. A key responsibility includes walking the perimeter of the building to ensure security and that public areas are vacated as scheduled. The Night Auditor must follow all company safety and security policies, report deficiencies, and maintain awareness of any security issues.

Requirements

  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Excellent customer relations skills.
  • Leadership capability.
  • Detail-oriented with outstanding organizational skills.
  • Computer skills, including knowledge of property management system (PMS).
  • Math skills.
  • Budgetary analysis capabilities.
  • Extensive knowledge of the hotel, its services and facilities.
  • One year hotel front office/accounting experience required.
  • High school or equivalent required.

  • Follow all company safety and security policies and procedures.
  • Report deficiencies, accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions.
  • Maintain awareness of undesirable persons on property premises.
