About The Position

The Night Auditor provides mandatory audits of transactions completed that day for the Hotel Department. The role checks audit work and guest charges, processes and confirms reservations, reviews settlement controls and no-shows, and verifies that specified payment and billing transactions follow correct procedures. The Night Auditor also assists guests with credit card disputes, finalizes third-party invoices and group billing, and maintains a safe, clean, and comfortable environment. Evening, weekend, and holiday work may be required.

Requirements

Must be at least 21 years of age.
Able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Knowledgeable about Company policies and procedures, including fire and safety regulations.
Knowledgeable in LMS systems.
Able to communicate effectively in English, both in writing and orally.
Basic math and budgetary skills.
Proficient in MS Office.
Excellent bookkeeping skills.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous experience and/or training.
Must have or obtain all required work cards.
Excellent organizational skills to effectively complete necessary tasks.
Excellent guest service skills to effectively deal with guests.

Responsibilities

Check audit work.
Ensure the accuracy of guest charges.
Enter and confirm all types of reservations in the system, including invitee and non-invitee events.
Check Settlement Control.
Check on no-shows.
Ensure all EZ Post and Bit Pay transactions have adhered to correct procedures.
Make sure all Gift Card transactions, online transactions, and room reservations are correctly billed.
Work with guests as needed to finalize credit card disputes.
Work evening, weekend, and holiday hours as required.
Finalize third-party invoices as needed.
Work with the Sales Department to finalize all group billing.
Maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment at all times.
