About The Position

The Night Auditor balances revenue and settles accounts nightly, maintains files, and resets the system for the next day of operations while also performing Guest Service Agent tasks and duties. The role involves bookkeeping and nightly auditing, maintaining room availability and guest account records, preparing daily reports, and reconciling cashier and credit-card transactions. The Night Auditor also checks guests in and out, responds to inquiries and complaints, and works to ensure guest satisfaction.

Requirements

Previous night audit or accounting experience, or equivalent training, is required.
Computer knowledge, Excel skills, and arithmetic skills are required.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
FSD is a plus and is required within 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

Perform bookkeeping activities, including balancing accounts and conducting nightly audits.
Maintain records of room availability and guests’ accounts, manually or using computers.
Prepare and distribute daily reports.
Audit and reconcile cashiers.
Audit, reconcile, consolidate, and transmit credit-card transactions in a timely manner.
Input and update financial information in the BRAINS network.
Check guests in and out and perform Guest Service Agent tasks.
Respond to guest inquiries and resolve complaints.
Monitor guest satisfaction scores and work to increase departmental and overall guest satisfaction.
Practice safe work habits and wear protective safety equipment.
Ensure overall guest satisfaction.
Perform other duties as requested by management.
