About The Position

The moment a guest steps into one of our hotels, they walk into a genuinely memorable experience. As a Night Auditor, you'll play a vital role in ensuring our guests receive exceptional overnight service while maintaining the accuracy and integrity of daily financial operations. You'll provide a warm and professional welcome to late-arriving guests, assist with overnight requests, complete end-of-day accounting procedures, and help prepare the hotel for a successful new day.

Requirements

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to provide outstanding guest service during overnight hours.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with the confidence to work independently.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy when handling financial transactions and completing audit procedures.
  • Comfortable using property management systems, computers, Microsoft Office applications, and basic accounting functions.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities.
  • Ability to remain calm, professional, and responsive during emergencies or high-pressure situations.
  • Flexibility to work overnight shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Fluency in the local language is required; additional language skills are an asset.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience in hotel front desk, guest services, night audit, accounting, or a related hospitality role is preferred.
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods and occasionally lift, push, or pull objects weighing up to 50 lbs (23 kg), which may involve bending, kneeling, and reaching.

  • A college or university degree in Hospitality, Business, or Accounting is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Be the welcoming face of the hotel during overnight hours, delivering exceptional guest service with every interaction.
  • Greet and acknowledge IHG One Rewards members and returning guests, in person or over the phone.
  • Check guests in and out efficiently while processing room assignments, issuing room keys, and verifying identification.
  • Handle guest inquiries, requests, concerns, and emergencies professionally, resolving issues independently whenever possible and escalating to management when needed.
  • Process cash, credit card, and other payment transactions accurately.
  • Complete the nightly audit by balancing daily revenue, reconciling accounts, preparing financial reports, and ensuring all transactions are posted correctly.
  • Verify and correct discrepancies between front office, food and beverage, and other hotel departments as part of the end-of-day close.
  • Prepare reports and documentation for hotel management and the incoming morning team.
  • Monitor hotel security throughout the night by conducting routine property walks, following safety procedures, and responding appropriately to incidents or emergencies.
  • Answer incoming phone calls, manage reservations, and identify opportunities to enhance the guest experience through room upgrades or additional services.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional front desk area throughout the shift.
  • Take pride in your appearance and represent the brand with professionalism at all times.
  • Stay informed of daily hotel events, arrivals, departures, and operational updates to provide accurate information to guests.
  • Assist with additional operational or administrative duties as needed to support the overnight operation.
