About The Position

The Night Auditor ensures a smooth transition between daily hotel operations by completing front office closing and opening procedures, performing nightly audit tasks, and providing exceptional service to guests throughout the overnight shift.

Requirements

  • Flexible availability, including the ability to work overnight shifts.
  • Previous customer service and/or hospitality experience preferred.
  • Strong communication, basic math, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to learn hotel systems, computer applications, and job-specific procedures.
  • Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage responsibilities with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Greet guests, process check-ins and check-outs, and provide information about the property and local amenities.
  • Maintain knowledge of room types, locations, rates, services, and activities.
  • Manage guest room keys and oversee access to safe deposit boxes.
  • Audit and balance daily reports and verify completion of end-of-day (EOD) tasks across departments.
  • Schedule wake-up calls, process reservations, and prepare guest bills for next-day departures.
  • Answer phones, respond to guest inquiries and complaints, and provide exceptional customer service.
  • Run nightly audit and EOD computer functions to ensure accurate reporting.
  • Process reservation cards, record receipts, balance cash drawers, and follow all cash-handling procedures.
  • Facilitate the secure storage of guest valuables in the hotel safe.
  • Report unusual occurrences, guest requests, or operational issues to management.
  • Follow all safety, security, and emergency procedures.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional front desk area.
