About The Position

The iconic Waldorf Astoria property in New Orleans, The Roosevelt, is seeking a Night Audit Supervisor to join the team! Our luxury hotel offers an unparalleled combination of Southern hospitality, world-class service and historic surroundings. As the centerpiece of the city, the hotel is located near the French Quarter and within walking distance to the city's most vibrant attractions and entertainment, including Jackson Square, Bourbon Street and the Arts & Warehouse District. Embodying the rich heritage of Southern hospitality, the historic hotel features 504 rooms, over 60,000 square feet of meeting space, and five (5) food and beverage outlets. This includes 2 restaurants, a café, seasonal rooftop bar, and in-room dining. We are looking for an individual with an upbeat, outgoing personality to join our Front Office Operations team. The Night Audit Supervisor ensures that all night audit work is completed in a timely and accurate manner.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of accounting operations to include all aspects, such as, accounts, receivable, payroll, etc.
  • Ability to access and accurately input information into a computer using Excel software and other various software programs.
  • Basic mathematical and calculator skills to prepare mathematical calculations without error. Must be able to operate a 10-key by touch, rapidly and accurately, using finger dexterity.
  • Office machines: operate copier, fax, telephone.
  • Must possess the ability to post and balance large amounts of charges efficiently and accurately.
  • Ability to learn and perform all essential job functions accurately and safely with minimal direct supervision, within initial training period after employee begins work.
  • Maintain an open line of communication between guests, team members and management.
  • Ability to effectively deal with guest and team members concerns in a friendly and positive manner. This involves listening to the nature of the concern, demonstrating empathy with the customer and providing positive and proactive solutions.
  • High School graduate or equivalent required.
  • At least 2 years in related field preferred.
  • Experience directly supervising team members preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Examine and verify charges and posting of Guest Service Agents. Balance City Ledger. Balance room revenue with Night Auditors. Prepare daily transaction summary. Clear Front Office system and set for start of day.
  • Examine and verify food and beverage posted charges and posting, balance all charges to register tapes, and review food and beverage summary.
  • Communicate with Front Office Manager/Director regarding problems with cashiering functions of Guest Service Agents and prepare weekly night audit schedule.
  • Other duties as assigned.
