About The Position

The Night Auditor position is a full-time, overnight role responsible for submitting and verifying credit card charge transactions, auditing cashier reports to verify balances, posting data, balancing accounts, and compiling collection, disbursement, and bank reconciliation reports. The role requires effective interaction and communication in English with diverse individuals, the ability to read and comprehend instructions, write simple correspondence, and present information effectively in various settings. Mathematical skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division, as well as computing rate, ratio, and percent, are necessary. The position also requires applying common sense understanding to instructions and dealing with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet, accounting, and internet software is expected. The work environment is typically moderately noisy with controlled temperature settings. Physical demands include occasionally lifting up to 10 pounds, frequently standing, walking, using hands, and talking or hearing, with occasional reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and navigating multiple flights of stairs.

Requirements

  • Effectively interact and communicate in English with people from diverse backgrounds

  • Effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients and other associates of the hotel
  • Add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals
  • Compute rate, ratio and percent
  • Draw and interpret bar graphs
  • Apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form
  • Deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
  • Word processing software including Microsoft Word
  • Spreadsheet software including Microsoft Excel
  • Accounting and Internet software
  • A high school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
  • One (1) year customer service experience
  • One (1) year front desk experience or cash handling and/or bookkeeping experience
  • Fluency in English language
