About The Position

InterHealth Medical Staffing, a staffing division of Tampa General Hospital, is seeking a NICU Advanced Practice Provider (APRN/PA) for per diem opportunities. As part of one of Florida’s most comprehensive medical centers, Tampa General Hospital is affiliated with USF Health Morsani College of Medicine and serves as its primary teaching hospital. This role offers an environment rich in innovation, learning, and clinical excellence. The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) will provide general and specialty medical and/or surgical services, focusing on health promotion, disease prevention, and the diagnosis and management of acute and chronic diseases. The APP will have the opportunity to practice autonomously and collaboratively within their established scope. All TGH team members are responsible for performing job duties in accordance with the mission, vision, and values of Tampa General Hospital.

Requirements

  • Minimum of two years’ experience in the specialty they are applying for.
  • Ability to work independently with clinical confidence.
  • Current licensure as Advanced Practice Registered Nurse or Physician Assistant in the State of Florida.
  • Certified Neonatal Nurse Practitioner.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and electronic medical records (EMR) systems, preferably Epic.
  • Ability to multitask in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Outstanding customer service and conflict resolution abilities.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in a level II or higher in a Neonatal ICU strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Requests, interprets, and evaluates diagnostic and laboratory tests and takes appropriate actions as medically indicated in accordance with departmental protocols.
  • Identifies and reports any specific signs and symptoms, problems, or potential problems requiring further assessment, communication, and/or intervention to promote positive outcomes.
  • Works autonomously as well as in collaboration with a variety of individuals to diagnose and manage clients' health care problems.
