About The Position

GDIT is seeking a Zero Trust Configuration Manager to support the Next Generation Gateway (NGG) contract in Oklahoma City, OK. This role involves providing IT and Network configuration oversight for multiple on-site IT operations teams across various Air Force and Space Force bases globally. The NGG Configuration Manager will be responsible for managing the baseline configuration, including inventory topology, standardization, change management, archiving, and change deviations for Zero Trust solution deployments and the GDIT lab in Oklahoma City, OK.

Requirements

  • Active DoW Secret level clearance.
  • Intermediate-level 8140 certification (e.g. Security+ CE), OR the ability to obtain within 30 days from start of employment.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field, OR equivalent work experience or technical certifications in lieu of degree.
  • 5+ years of increasing responsibilities working in an IT Network Center.
  • Strong demonstrable fundamental technical knowledge of networks, systems, and general IT systems (email, phones, word processors etc.).
  • Thorough understanding of wireless networking and general IT functions.
  • Experience using a Configuration Management Database (CMDB).
  • Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving and collaborative skills.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills applied to the development and presentation of technical materials appropriate to a broad spectrum of audiences.
  • US Citizenship Required.

Nice To Haves

  • ITIL V3/4 Foundation or higher certification.
  • Thorough knowledge of ITSM best practices and supporting systems.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing to SLA levels.
  • Experience with Cisco and Aruba network equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains an inventory of both physical and soft network devices including hardware software and the associated configurations.
  • Define the standard asset configurations and provide the ability to view, compare and backup network configurations.
  • Develop and maintain IT asset and configuration management processes and policies.
  • Ensure the accuracy and completeness of the Configuration Management Database (CMDB).
  • Collaborate with IT and business teams to identify and document configuration items and their relationships.
  • Perform regular audits and reconciliations of IT assets and configuration data.
  • Provide training and support to staff on asset and configuration management processes and tools.
  • Generate reports and metrics to monitor the health and compliance of IT assets and configurations.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of IT asset lifecycle management strategies.
