About The Position
The Oregonian/OregonLive is accepting applications for winter, summer, and fall internships in 2027. Interns will contribute to fast-paced breaking news reports and have the opportunity to work on impactful and enterprising projects under the guidance of skilled editors. Internships are available across the news, features, sports, and visuals departments. The company is committed to providing a learning environment for emerging journalists, with each intern paired with an experienced mentor and having access to newsroom training.
Requirements
- Demonstrate talent and passion for informative, accurate, and engaging journalism.
- Completed at least two years of college courses.
- Prior internship, college media, or professional freelancing experience.
- Reliable transportation to meet with sources and cover events.
- Cover letter indicating preferred internship timing, experiences, career ambitions, and how the internship fits.
- Resume and up to three references.
- Three to five work samples (combined into a single file).

Responsibilities
