A Newsroom Intern at News 9 helps drive the Ideal Team Player culture. The intern gets an inside look at how a local television newsroom operates, working alongside producers, reporters, photographers, and the digital team in the Griffin Media OKC newsroom. The intern shadows daily newsroom operations and gains exposure to the full news-gathering process, from story idea to air. This internship is designed for students pursuing a degree in broadcast journalism, communications, or a related field who want real-world exposure to the pace and teamwork of a working newsroom. This is an unpaid internship for college credit, available during the Spring semester. The schedule is flexible, but interns must meet the hours required for their college credit and may be available for up to 16 hours per week. Duties, responsibilities, and activities may change at any time with or without notice.
