WAVY Unpaid Newsroom Intern, Spring 2027
About The Position
WAVY-TV 10/WVBT FOX43 is seeking a dynamic Newsroom Intern for the Spring 2027 semester. This unpaid, for-credit position offers hands-on experience in a newsroom environment. Interns will have the opportunity to work with the assignment desk, assist producers with newscast writing and preparation, collaborate with editors, and support photographers and reporters both in the newsroom and in the field. Fieldwork may include shooting and editing video for on-air stories. The ideal candidate will be enrolled in a college degree-granting program and must provide proof of enrollment in an internship course within their program before starting. This role requires a willingness to learn the operations of a local newsroom and understand how different TV station departments collaborate.
Requirements
- Completed journalism courses.

- Familiarity with newswriting software.
