Newborn Nanny

About The Position

A young family is excited to welcome their baby in December and is seeking a caring Nanny who is highly-experienced with newborns, infants, and toddlers to grow with their family over the years! Their ideal candidate is someone who can provide steady guidance, advising them on what is best for their infant’s environment, including developmentally appropriate materials, feeding, sleeping, and routines as the baby grows. They are fortunate to have two additional young children who split their time between another household. While the older children are present during some weekends, the focus of this role is primarily for the newborn, with the exception of several days per month, providing care in tandem with the parents. This role is perfect for an experienced, warm and nurturing Nanny who has a strong level of specialization and knowledge of the early newborn stage and transitions through infancy to toddlerhood. The ideal infant Nanny will instinctively know the delicate balance between aiding eager new parents while fully taking the lead, yet stepping back to allow family time to occur. Experience with similar fully-staffed homes is a strong plus, as is the ability to set-up the nursery ahead of time, making vital recommendations on the most beneficial items to secure. This is not an entry level position – years of experience within the domestic realm are required, as are stellar references that will speak to your personal style of care and your ability to work in tandem with other adults toward the goal of providing the best possible environment. The family is also hiring a Newborn Care Specialist to work 24/7 between 3-6 months total (to be determined). This role will initially start as a Monday-Friday position while the NCS is under contract. The schedule will temporarily be between 9am–7pm each day, a few hours of which will be in tandem with the NCS after their rest time concludes. Once the NCS' contract is over in Spring 2027, this position will transition for the long-term to a Rotational 7-day on/off role, providing support in the nights if needed, depending on the infant's sleep schedule after being set up for success by the NCS. On the off-duty weeks, housing can be provided locally, if desired.
