About The Position

This is a student employment position for the New Reach Office Assistant/Receptionist role within the Office of Community Engagement. The position is designated as Federal Work-Study. The operational hours of the New Reach offices are Monday-Friday from 9 am to 5 pm. Applicants must be available to work between 6-8 hours per week during these operational hours.

Requirements

  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Good telephone rapport
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office including, Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Ensure confidentiality in all aspects of funding, personnel and client information
  • Ability to be efficient and thorough in completion of tasks

Responsibilities

  • Staff reception area and answer and direct phone calls, greet clients and file incoming mail.
  • Support areas of the agency through typing, filing, ordering and organizing supplies, etc.
  • Additional administrative duties may be required such as developing correspondence, excel databases or updating of databases and spreadsheets.
