About The Position

As New Plant Project Manager in our New Plant Projects group, you will participate in the planning, execution, and leadership of Instrumentation and Control (I&C) activities for a portfolio of AP1000 and AP300 new plant development projects. You will work closely with I&C technical teams and project leadership to manage engagements with key stakeholders. You will report to the Program Manager, New Plant Development. This is a mobile role that can be performed primarily from our Cranberry Township, PA, Warrendale, PA and/or New Stanton, PA facilities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree. Applicable disciplines are Project Management, Engineering, Business, Construction Management or related technical discipline.
  • Strong technical knowledge of collaborative data management, automation, and formatting techniques using Microsoft applications
  • Experience developing and implementing scope, schedule and budget plans to successful completion
  • Familiarilty with the Project Management Institute (PMI®)'s Project Management Body of Knowledge required.
  • Ability to travel to customer sites up to 25%

Nice To Haves

  • PMI Project Management Professional (PMP®) certification or other approved equivalent project management certification is desired or otherwise required to be completed within 1 year
  • Experience with the commercial nuclear industry, global work experience and business acumen are preferred

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for project management processes for several high complexity project sub systems, directly supporting the I&C managed scope for new plant offers and/or project execution.
  • Support proposal process for upcoming opportunities, as assigned.
  • Coordinate resource planning activities, schedule status and modifications, and provide monthly reporting to internal stakeholders for new plant projects.
  • Coordinate project updates with internal leadership for the new plant project team.
  • Working with Project Engineers, system leads, and managers to develop and oversee project data in a collaborative environment using Microsoft applications.
  • Manage project scope, schedule, cost, risk, resources, and communications.
  • Document learning and best practices using the CAP program.
  • Use interpersonal skills to cultivate positive relationships with teams, and project stakeholders (e.g. internal management) in a matrix environment to facilitate successful project completion as well as identify opportunities for business growth and improvement.
  • Support financial planning through accurately tracking and forecasting spending.
