This role is responsible for leading the planning and execution of complex, highly regulated engineering projects from baseline definition through delivery, with full accountability for scope, schedule, cost, and technical outcomes. The position develops and maintains the integrated project baseline (budget, schedule, execution and risk plans, and all contractually required deliverables) and ensures that all governing documents align with corporate processes, quality requirements, and regulatory obligations. It coordinates inputs and performance commitments from matrixed functions (Finance, Subcontracts/Procurement, Engineering, Licensing, Quality/Safety, and others), manages subcontractor and partner performance, and makes key make/buy, subcontracting, and technical/programmatic decisions needed to achieve contract goals. The role is also accountable for ongoing project performance management, including risk management, schedule and cost adherence (variance and earned value analysis), document and deliverable status, and technical performance against specifications. It defines and communicates deliverable acceptance criteria, determines the acceptability of deliverables and systems against performance, quality, safety, and operational requirements, and drives corrective actions where needed. The position operates within nuclear or similarly stringent QA and regulatory frameworks and is expected to model professional conduct, actively support the safety culture, and integrate quality into all relevant processes while performing other duties as assigned.
