About The Position

McIver Clinic has been a trusted leader in urological care in Jacksonville since 1921. With multiple locations throughout the greater Jacksonville area and more than 27 providers, we deliver compassionate, patient-centered care across the full spectrum of urology, from minimallyMINIMALLY invasive procedures to complex surgery and oncology. We are seeking a dependable, organized, and patient-focused New Patient Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate provides exceptional customer service, demonstrates strong attention to detail, effectively manages a high volume of referrals and scheduling needs, and works collaboratively with patients, providers, and staff to ensure a seamless experience from referral to appointment.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent (Required)
Medical Office: 1+ year (Required)
Customer Service: 1+ year (Required)

Nice To Haves

Computer Skills: 3+ years (Preferred)

Responsibilities

Answer a high volume of incoming calls and coordinate patient appointments
Process new patient referrals by accurately entering demographics, diagnoses, authorizations, and other required information
Schedule, reschedule, and coordinate patient appointments based on provider and patient needs
Greet patients and assist with scheduling and registration needs
Collect and verify patient demographic and insurance information
Contact patients when appointments need to be rescheduled or additional information is required
Answer patient questions and provide accurate information regarding appointments and office procedures
Direct calls to the appropriate departments and relay messages to staff as needed
Maintain accurate and timely patient records
Protect patient privacy and maintain strict confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA requirements
Provide professional, courteous, and compassionate service to patients, providers, and staff
