About The Position

Winter 2026 New Graduate RN Residency Program (to begin early December 2026). This program is for New Graduate RNs with no prior RN/LPN work experience or less than 6 months of LPN/RN experience. Only applicants graduating with their Bachelor of Science in Nursing in May or August of 2026 are being considered. A minimum GPA of 3.0 is required. Applicants must list their current GPA on their resume and indicate their top two areas of preference in their cover letter. Failure to do so will result in the application not being considered. All resident positions are for the NIGHT SHIFT ONLY. You will be hired onto the day shift for the beginning of your orientation and will be transitioned to the night shift at some point in the first six months. Current American Heart Association BLS for the healthcare provider certification is required upon entering the program and must be valid for a minimum of 3 months post the start date. A New Jersey Registered Nurse License must be obtained by at least two weeks before the residency start date. Related working clinical experience is a plus.

Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct nursing care to a wide variety of patients' ages and clinical conditions, primarily in the adult Emergency Department.
  • Provide a high level of medical and surgical nursing care to critically ill cardiac patients.
  • Provide direct nursing care to a wide variety of patients on multiple Medical/Surgical units, potentially being assigned to different units throughout a shift.
  • Manage the care of post procedural patients, post cardiac surgery patients, post thoracic surgery patients, patients requiring cardiac medication infusions, and a variety of cardiac medical patients.
  • Provide care for step down level of care patients including those on vents, trachs, post neurosurgery, stable neurology patients requiring closer monitoring, post Tenecteplase, and post thrombectomy.
  • Provide direct nursing care to a wide variety of critically ill patients within Critical Care.
  • Provide direct nursing care to a wide variety of critically ill patients within Critical Care.
  • Provide care for Oncology and Hematology patients including lymphoma, leukemia, solid tumors, chemotherapy, ITP patients, and palliative care.
  • Provide care for neurology patients, post stroke, and status epilepticus.
  • Deliver expert care to geriatric patients with complex medical conditions, specializing in NICHE geriatric care, pulmonary conditions (COPD, pneumonia), and cardiac care.
  • Provide care in Women's and Children's areas, including NICU.
