New Grad RN Residency
About The Position
Rock Hill Hospital is seeking New Graduate Registered Nurses (RNs) for its RN Residency program. This 12-month program is designed to provide a strong foundation for new nurses, focusing on developing essential clinical skills, critical thinking, delegation, priority setting, and holistic patient care through interdisciplinary communication. The program offers hands-on experience across various specialties, including Intensive Care Step Down, Behavioral Health, Med Surg, and Surgical Trauma, with opportunities to experience different shifts and patient populations. The hospital system includes a full-service hospital serving York County since 1983 and a newer 100-bed facility that opened in September 2022. This role provides direct clinical patient care, including assessment, planning, and implementation of care, as well as supervision of delegated staff, and supporting the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) to ensure high-quality, safe patient care.
Requirements
- No previous experience needed.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) upon hire or obtained within 30 days of employment.
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
- Registered Nurse License in the State of South Carolina.

Responsibilities
- Assessing, planning, and implementing direct clinical care to assigned patients on a per shift basis and unit level.
- Supervising staff to whom appropriate care is delegated.
- Supporting the CNO to ensure high quality, safe, and appropriate nursing care.
- Ensuring competency of clinical staff.
- Managing appropriate resources related to patient care.
