New Grad RN Residency
About The Position
Rock Hill Hospital is recruiting for its New Graduate RN Residency program for Spring 2026 and Fall 2026 graduates. This 12-month program is designed to provide a supportive community of clinical educators, experienced nurses, and fellow residents to foster learning through hands-on experience. The residency aims to establish valuable clinical and critical thinking skills, aiding the transition from student to RN. The program offers an innovative curriculum focused on creating a solid foundation in the nursing profession, developing delegation and priority-setting skills, holistic patient care through interdisciplinary communication, and establishing professional relationships. Residents will experience different shifts, patient populations, and unit cultures.
Requirements
- No previous experience needed.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) upon hire or obtained within 30 days of employment.
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
- Registered Nurse License in the State of South Carolina.
Nice To Haves
- Other Certifications maybe required during employment.
Responsibilities
- Provides direct clinical patient care.
- Assumes responsibility for assessing, planning, and implementing direct clinical care to assigned patients on a per shift and unit level.
- Supervises staff to whom appropriate care is delegated.
- Supports the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) to ensure high-quality, safe, and appropriate nursing care, competency of clinical staff, and appropriate resource management related to patient care.
