About The Position
This role is for a New Graduate Registered Nurse (RN) in the Medical Surgical Unit. The position offers a $10,000 sign-on bonus for qualified candidates. The Medical-Surgical nursing field provides a strong clinical foundation, exposing nurses to diverse patient conditions and fostering the development of critical thinking, time management, and patient care skills. Requirements
- Current and valid state RN License.
- Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
- Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current preferred.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
Nice To Haves
- Previous Acute Care hospital experience preferred.
- Ventilator Management experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Deliver safe, compassionate, patient-centered nursing care.
- Assess, monitor, and evaluate patient conditions, reporting changes promptly to the healthcare team.
- Administer medications, IV therapies, blood products, and treatments in accordance with provider orders and hospital policies.
- Coordinate and collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, therapists, and other interdisciplinary team members.
- Assist with procedures, diagnostics, patient stabilization, and other department-specific clinical interventions.
- Operate and monitor clinical equipment appropriate to the assigned department.
- Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, medications, treatment plans, and discharge instructions.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR).
- Promote patient safety, quality outcomes, infection prevention, and regulatory compliance.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
