About The Position

This role is for a New Graduate Registered Nurse (RN) position in a Medical Surgical Unit. The position offers a $10,000 sign-on bonus for new graduates. The role involves delivering safe, high-quality, patient-centered care using the nursing process. The RN will work collaboratively with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team to provide direct patient care, promote positive clinical outcomes, and ensure compliance with organizational policies, regulatory standards, and evidence-based practice. The Medical-Surgical nursing field provides a strong clinical foundation, exposing nurses to a wide variety of patient conditions and helping them develop critical thinking, time management, and patient care skills, creating opportunities for advancement.

Requirements

  • Current and valid state RN License.
  • Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
  • Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current preferred.
  • Previous Acute Care hospital experience preferred.
  • Ventilator Management experience preferred.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver safe, compassionate, patient-centered nursing care.
  • Assess, monitor, and evaluate patient conditions, reporting changes promptly to the healthcare team.
  • Administer medications, IV therapies, blood products, and treatments in accordance with provider orders and hospital policies.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, therapists, and other interdisciplinary team members.
  • Assist with procedures, diagnostics, patient stabilization, and other department-specific clinical interventions.
  • Operate and monitor clinical equipment appropriate to the assigned department.
  • Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, medications, treatment plans, and discharge instructions.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR).
  • Promote patient safety, quality outcomes, infection prevention, and regulatory compliance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
