New Grad Nurse Oncology Unit
About The Position
Baptist Health Floyd is seeking a new graduate RN or LPN for its Oncology Unit, also known as 2A. This full-time, benefit-eligible position is scheduled for 36 hours weekly on nights from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. The 10-bed unit cares for chemotherapy, cancer support, hospice, telemetry, and post-operative patients. Nurses can build medical-surgical skills while developing specialty skills in chemotherapy and oncology care. New graduate LPNs and RNs are welcome. The RN/LPN is responsible and accountable for providing comprehensive direct nursing care from patient admission through discharge. As an on-shift team member, the nurse provides direct patient care to meet the needs of patients, families, and coworkers.
Requirements
- Current Indiana or compact-state RN/LPN license, or graduation from an approved nursing program.
- BLS for Healthcare Provider certification is required.
- Chemo certification is required within 12 months of hire.
