New Grad Nurse Oncology Unit
About The Position
Baptist Health Floyd is seeking a new graduate RN or LPN for its Oncology Unit, also known as 2A. This full-time position is scheduled for 36 hours per week on nights, from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m., and is benefit eligible. The 10-bed unit cares for chemotherapy, cancer support, hospice, telemetry, and post-operative patients. Nurses can build their skills in a medical-surgical setting while developing specialty skills in chemotherapy and oncology care. New graduate LPNs and RNs are welcome. The worksite is at 1850 State Street, New Albany, Indiana, approximately 10 minutes from downtown Louisville.
Requirements
- Current Indiana or compact-state RN or LPN license, or graduation from an approved nursing program.
- BLS for Healthcare Provider certification.
- Chemo certification, to be obtained within 12 months of hire.
Responsibilities
- Provide and be accountable for direct, comprehensive nursing care from patient admission through discharge.
- Work as an on-shift team member providing direct patient care to meet the needs of patients, families, and co-workers.
