The New Construction Sales Representative to join our team of skilled professionals will represent IKO Industries and our wide range of residential roofing products for Western Canadian home builders.

Requirements

  • High school diploma required; college degree preferred
  • 1 year of sales experience a plus, outside sales experience would be an asset
  • Experience in roofing/building industry is a plus
  • Highly motivated and a results-oriented individual with a drive to succeed and learn
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Organized with good time management skills
  • Salesforce experience is an asset
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office products
  • Must be authorized to work in Canada
  • Must be able to travel up to 80% within territory
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and can travel throughout the designated territory with some overnight stays

Responsibilities

  • Increase market share and strengthen relationships with existing accounts
  • Recognize new business opportunities and strategies based on customer needs to enhance company growth
  • Identify leads, manage prospects, and acquire new business
  • Determine customer needs and propose appropriate solutions that contribute to meeting or exceeding business sales goals
  • Prepare and deliver sales proposals/presentations and following up with key decision makers
  • Develop and maintain an awareness of market behavior and competitive trends in order to respond accordingly
