About The Position

Sentara Healthcare, an award-winning, nationally recognized, non-profit, integrated healthcare system is expanding its neuroscience department. This is an opportunity to join Sentara Medical Group, a multispecialty group with over 1,500 providers in Coastal Virginia. The role involves joining a team of 8 neurosurgeons to support expansion into Williamsburg, VA, and Hampton, VA, with a focus on spinal surgery. The position includes neurosurgery call 6 times a month with Advanced Practice Provider (APP) support. The system comprises 12 hospitals, including a Level 1 Trauma Center affiliated with Eastern Virginia Medical School, and has been named the #1 Hospital in Virginia. The experienced neurosurgery team includes fellowship training in Endovascular Neurosurgery, Functional Neurosurgery, Neuro Oncology, and Minimally Invasive Spine Neurosurgery. Visa sponsorship is available.

Requirements

  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neurosurgery.
  • Fellowship training in Endovascular Neurosurgery, Functional Neurosurgery, Neuro Oncology, or Minimally Invasive Spine Neurosurgery is preferred.
  • Ability to obtain Virginia medical license.

Responsibilities

  • Perform neurosurgery, with a focus on spinal surgery.
