About The Position

Sentara Healthcare, an award-winning, nationally recognized, non-profit, integrated healthcare system is expanding its neuroscience department. This is an opportunity to join Sentara Medical Group, a multispecialty group with over 1,500 providers in Coastal Virginia. The role involves joining a team of 8 neurosurgeons to support expansion into Williamsburg, VA, and Hampton, VA, with a focus on spinal surgery. The position includes neurosurgery call 6 times a month with Advanced Practice Provider (APP) support. The experienced neurosurgery team includes fellowship training in Endovascular Neurosurgery, Functional Neurosurgery, Neuro Oncology, and Minimally Invasive Spine Neurosurgery. Requirements

Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neurosurgery.
Fellowship training in Endovascular Neurosurgery, Functional Neurosurgery, Neuro Oncology, or Minimally Invasive Spine Neurosurgery is preferred.
Ability to obtain Virginia medical license.

Responsibilities

Perform neurosurgery, with a focus on spinal surgery.
