About The Position

This role is for a Neuropsychologist looking to make a significant impact with an underserved population in skilled nursing facilities. The position involves conducting bedside evaluations, diagnosing cognitive and mental health conditions, and collaborating with facility staff, residents' families, and a multidisciplinary team. The goal is to improve the quality of life for residents, prevent hospitalizations, reduce behavioral crises, and support staff. The role emphasizes providing meaningful, varied, and clinically grounded work within a supportive environment that values professional development and work-life balance.

Requirements

  • Hold a PhD or PsyD in Clinical Psychology with specialty training in neuropsychology (two-year fellowship program in neuropsychology strongly recommended).
  • Licensed in California.
  • Medicare-eligible (assistance with credentialing and paneling provided).
  • Value evidence-based practice and clinical flexibility.
  • Comfortable working with complexity and ambiguity.
  • Desire autonomy without isolation, and support without micromanagement.
  • Curiosity, compassion, and the ability to see the person behind the chart.

Responsibilities

  • Assess, diagnose, and treat individuals in skilled nursing facilities.
  • Manage an active caseload with support from a clinical manager and administrative team.
  • Collaborate closely with facility staff, offering consultation, guidance, and in-services.
  • Complete documentation aligned with medical necessity and Medicare standards.
  • Provide care by meeting residents where they reside, in skilled nursing facilities.
  • Support staff under pressure.
  • Restore dignity to residents who feel forgotten.
