About The Position

Join the Ayer Neuroscience Institute at Hartford HealthCare, the most integrated system in Connecticut, for exciting opportunities in Neuromuscular Neurology. This role offers the chance to practice with nationally respected colleagues in a progressive, physician-led environment within a broad network that includes seven acute care hospitals, a major academic and surgical hospital, community teaching hospitals, and a large multi-specialty medical group. You will focus on treating patients with neuromuscular disorders such as neuropathy, myasthenia gravis, and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). The position is located at the Ayer Neuroscience Institute at Hartford HealthCare Medical Group in Hartford, CT, a large ambulatory site. This role provides a collaborative environment with opportunities for clinical research development, performing electromyography (EMG) studies, participating in NCS technician training, collaborating on the neuromuscular clinical council to develop care paradigms and quality initiatives, and helping to develop a neuromuscular ultrasound service line.

Requirements

• Neurology residency
• Neuromuscular fellowship or Neurophysiology fellowship

Responsibilities

• Focus on treating patients with neuromuscular disorders such as neuropathy, myasthenia gravis, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), etc.
• Perform electromyography (EMG) studies

• Collaborate on the neuromuscular clinical council to develop neuromuscular care paradigms, advance quality of care initiatives, promote patient experience, and find opportunities for research and innovation
