About The Position

Legacy Medical Group Neurology is recruiting an outpatient (clinic-based) Neuromuscular Neurologist to join their team. The clinic is located in the Portland-Vancouver metro area, with clinics situated in Portland or within 20 minutes of downtown. The Neuromuscular Neurologist will provide outpatient consultation and management of patients with neurological disorders at the Emanuel location. The physician will join a team of 12 outpatient neurologists, 4 clinic APPs, and 8 neurohospitalists. The group has subspecialty programs in autoimmune neurology/MS, epilepsy, headache, movement disorders, neuromuscular disease, neuro-ophthalmology, and vascular neurology. While some general neurology practice is required, there is an opportunity to develop a subspecialty practice. The outpatient neurology group covers after-hours and weekend patient calls, but no inpatient call is required. Opportunities exist to join the clinical trials program supported by the Legacy Research Institute or participate in teaching medical students or internal medicine residents.

Requirements

Graduate of a four-year accredited U.S. Medical School or the equivalent.
Satisfactory completion of an accredited residency in Neurology.
Completion of a Neuromuscular Medicine or Clinical Neurophysiology (EMG) fellowship.
Board Certified in Neurology.
Unrestricted license to practice medicine in the applicable state.
Active member in good standing of Hospital Medical Staff.
BLS for Provider certification from the American Heart Assocation minimally required (ACLS may substitute for BLS).
