About The Position

PPE is seeking a qualified Nurse Practitioner to provide coverage for the ICU Neurology rotation at Monmouth Medical Center Southern Campus. This flexible, round-and-go position has a manageable patient census of approximately 1–5 patients per day. Coverage is one week per month, Monday through Sunday, with call coverage until 7:00 PM each workday. Compensation is $75–$85 per hour, plus an additional daily call stipend.

Requirements

• Current Nurse Practitioner license in New Jersey.
• Board certification as a Nurse Practitioner.
• Strong clinical assessment, communication, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with the medical team.

Nice To Haves

• Previous neurology, neurocritical care, or ICU experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide neurological assessment and management of ICU patients.
• Conduct daily patient rounds and monitor clinical progress.
• Evaluate patient conditions and develop treatment plans.
• Collaborate with intensivists, neurologists, nursing staff, and other members of the healthcare team.
• Document patient evaluations, treatment plans, and progress in the medical record.
• Respond to patient needs and provide call coverage until 7:00 PM.
• Support continuity of care and communicate treatment recommendations to the clinical team.
