Neurology Hospital Follow-Up - Full-Time NP/PA
About The Position
Atrium Health is hiring a full-time Neurology Advanced Practice Provider (NP/PA) to provide outpatient care for patients following hospitalization, a large percentage of whom are stroke follow-up patients. The role is based in a well-supported, collaborative clinic alongside an established team of physicians and APPs known for superior patient care. The position offers a flexible four- or five-day work week, with a desirable Monday–Friday schedule, and involves approximately 10–14 hospital follow-up and routine follow-up patients per day. There is no call or weekend work. The APP Leadership structure provides support, advocacy, and opportunities for professional growth. The role also offers academic opportunities, research support, educational opportunities, and access to an established referral base through Atrium Health’s network of employed physicians. Compensation is listed at $47.50–$71.25 per hour, with a comprehensive benefits package that includes CME allowance and paid time off.
Nice To Haves
- Prior APP experience is preferred.
- Neurology experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Perform physical examinations and assessments, and develop appropriate plans of care.
- Write appropriate prescriptions and administer medications.
- Order and interpret laboratory and radiology examinations.
- Document patient encounters, observations, interventions, and actions appropriately in the medical record.
- Attend, participate in, and contribute to group and practice meetings.
- Contribute to the development of departmental standard procedures.
- Provide outpatient neurological care for hospital follow-up patients, including stroke follow-ups and routine follow-ups.
