About The Position
Growing group is seeking a Neurologist for the Cleveland, OH area! J1 sponsor available! This is a traditional outpatient Neurology position with a Monday-Friday, 8am - 5pm schedule. The role involves performing specialized physical exams, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests such as neuroimaging (MRI, CT scans), electrophysiology (EEG, EMG, NCS), and performing lumbar punctures. The position also includes disease management and therapeutics. The neurologist will be joining a team of 2 other neurologists.
Requirements
- Ohio State Medical License
- Must be Board Certified / Board Eligible in Neurology
- Open to J1 or H1B visa as needed
Responsibilities
- Perform specialized physical exams assessing cranial nerve function, motor strength, sensation, reflexes, balance, coordination, and cognitive status to pinpoint the anatomical origin of a neurological issue.
- Order and evaluate MRI and CT scans to detect structural lesions, tumors, strokes, or structural vascular changes.
- Perform or interpret Electroencephalograms (EEG) for seizure activity, Electromyography (EMG), and Nerve Conduction Studies (NCS) for peripheral nerve or muscle dysfunction.
- Perform spinal taps to analyze cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) for signs of infection, neuroinflammation, or autoimmune markers.
- Manage and treat neurological diseases and conditions.
