About The Position

Seeking a Neurological Surgeon for a Locum Tenens position in St. Louis, MO. This is an inpatient role covering supplemental needs from ASAP through July 31, 2027. The position is call-only, with a 24-hour call schedule one weekend per month, and a 1 in 4 or 1 in 5 weekend call rotation. The call type is beeper with a 30-minute response time and a 50% callback rate. Patient volume is approximately 20, with 6-18 phone consults and 1-2 admissions per day. Rounding is included, and support is provided by 1 RN. The department has 10 beds and is a Level II Trauma facility. Epic is the EMR system used.

Requirements

• Active MO License or IMLC
• Board Certified (BC)
• BLS certification

Responsibilities

• Provide 24-hour call coverage one weekend per month.
• Participate in a 1 in 4 or 1 in 5 weekend call rotation.
• Respond to beeper calls within 30 minutes.
• Manage patient care including phone consults and admissions.
• Perform rounding.
• Collaborate with support staff (1 RN).
