About The Position

Sarasota Memorial First Physicians Group has an excellent opportunity for a Physician Assistant to join a busy Neurointerventional Surgery Practice located on Sarasota Memorial Hospital Campus. Join a team of two Neuroendovascular surgeons as part of a larger Neurology group. This role involves Monday – Friday, 8am – 5pm schedule. Responsibilities include inpatient rounding on post-operative patients and outpatient clinics comprised of independent and shared patient visits. There is dedicated time for documentation, care coordination, and task follow-up. The role is responsible for initial evaluation, review patient history and imaging, assist with counseling and treatment planning in direct collaboration with neurointerventional physicians.

Requirements

• Current NCCPA Certification.
• Active or eligible for licensure by the State of Florida.
• BLS and ACLS certification.
• Advanced degree from an accredited school or college of nursing
• Must have had a Medicare number in the State of Florida prior to 1/1/03; if not, must have a Master's Degree in nursing in addition to being a Registered Professional Nurse who is authorized by Florida to practice in accordance with state law.
• Approved APRN board certification. Must be certified as a APRN by a recognized national certifying body having established standards for APRNs. The following organizations are recognized national certifying bodies for the Nurse Practitioner: American Academy of Nurse Practitioners; American Nurses Credentialing Center; National Certification Corporation for Obstetric, Gynecologic and Neonatal Nursing Specialties; National Certification Board of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners & Nurses; Oncology Nurses Certification Corporation; Critical Care Certification Corporation; National Commission on Certification; and American Association of Heart Failure Nurses; and the American Midwifery Certification Board (AMCB).
