Neuroimaging Analytics Specialist

CHDI Management•Princeton, NJ
•$115,000 - $145,000•Hybrid

About The Position

CHDI Foundation is expanding its neuroimaging analytics capabilities to accelerate the development of imaging biomarkers for Huntington’s disease. The Neuroimaging Analytics Specialist will design and implement data management pipelines, algorithm development, and artificial intelligence methods for structural and quantitative MRI and PET imaging. The role oversees data handling, algorithm development, and quantitative analysis across imaging modalities to establish analysis-ready datasets for CHDI neuroimaging studies and biomarker development strategies. The successful candidate will build reproducible pipelines and deploy novel and AI-driven approaches to improve biomarker discovery, harmonization, and predictive modeling across multi-site datasets. CHDI Foundation, Inc. is a privately funded nonprofit biomedical research organization exclusively dedicated to collaboratively developing therapeutics for people affected by Huntington’s disease. Its scientists work with a global network of more than 700 researchers. Staff work for CHDI Management, Inc., which provides administrative and management services to CHDI Foundation. The position is based in Princeton, New Jersey, with an in-office requirement of two days per week. Vaccination against COVID-19 is a prerequisite for employment at CHDI Management.

Requirements

  • M.S. or B.A. in Electrical or Biomedical Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Neuroscience, Data Science, or a related quantitative discipline.
  • At least 3 years of hands-on experience in medical imaging data analysis, including image reconstruction, segmentation, registration, and quantitative image analysis.
  • Proficiency in Python, MATLAB, and/or R, with programming and AI/ML expertise.
  • Experience with AI/deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow.
  • Experience with neuroimaging software packages such as FreeSurfer, FSL, SPM, ANTs, PMOD, or Nipype, and data standards such as DICOM and BIDS.
  • Strong background in machine learning, image processing, and algorithm development.
  • Ability to manage and analyze large, multi-site imaging datasets while ensuring data integrity and reproducibility.
  • Experience applying AI/deep learning to neuroimaging, including segmentation, harmonization, or anomaly detection.
  • COVID-19 vaccination is a prerequisite for employment at CHDI Management.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage MRI and PET data pipelines for ingestion, curation, de-identification, BIDS conversion, and quality control across imaging studies and sites.
  • Implement and optimize software, algorithms, deep learning, and AI tools for structural and quantitative MRI brain segmentation, tissue classification, image harmonization, denoising, and anomaly detection.
  • Handle dynamic and multidimensional imaging data, including 4D data analysis.
  • Develop parametric and kinetic PET modeling for tracer quantification, including SUVR, DVR, binding potential, and dynamic data modeling.
  • Develop predictive models and extract biomarkers using machine learning and deep neural networks, including CNNs and 3D U-Nets.
  • Develop algorithms for cross-modality data fusion and multi-site harmonization.
  • Collaborate with site investigators and CHDI data management and biomarker teams to establish scalable data transfer and analysis workflows.
  • Prepare data documentation, technical reports, visualizations, and presentations for internal reviews, publications, and external collaborations.
