About The Position

Lehigh Valley Health Network (LVHN) is seeking a Neurohospitalist to join their team. This position is located in Allentown, PA, and involves a week on, week off schedule. The role primarily consists of daytime work, including in-person neurohospitalist service weeks at Cedar Crest and Muhlenberg hospitals, as well as inpatient teleneurology service weeks covering rural spoke sites. The Neurohospitalist will collaborate with a large team of over 45 neurologists across all major subspecialties and Advanced Practice Clinicians (APCs). Requirements

  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neurology.
  • Completion of a Neurology residency program.
  • Ability to work a week on, week off schedule.
  • Proficiency in providing both in-person and teleneurology services.
  • Strong collaboration skills to work with a multidisciplinary team.

Nice To Haves

  • Fellowship training in a neurology subspecialty.
  • Experience with critical care transport and aeromedical services.
  • Familiarity with state-of-the-art endovascular and functional surgery.

Responsibilities

  • Provide in-person neurohospitalist services at Cedar Crest and Muhlenberg hospitals.
  • Conduct inpatient teleneurology services covering rural spoke sites.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of neurologists, neurocritical care specialists, neurosurgeons, neuropsychologists, genetic counselors, neuroradiologists, neurorehabilitation specialists, and social workers.
  • Participate in the coordination of interfacility stroke transfers through the LVHN Transfer Center.
  • Contribute to the hub of collaboration, innovation, education, and research within the Lehigh Valley Fleming Neuroscience Institute.
