About The Position
Seeking a Neurohospitalist for a Locum Tenens position in Youngstown, OH. This is an inpatient role requiring coverage for supplemental needs on an ongoing basis starting June 22, 2026. The position is call-only, with a 24-hour call schedule (7a-7a) required one week per month. The Neurohospitalist will manage a patient volume of 10 in the ICU and 2-5 in the ED, with 9-10 admissions. Rounding is included for all adult floors, and support staff, including APPs, will be available. The role involves a range of procedures including Radiologic Exam Interpretation, EEG, Brain Death Exam, EMG, Evoked Potentials, Dysphagia Screening, Vent Management, Eval and Mgmt of Acute Volume/BP Issues, and EKG Interpretation. Treatments will cover conditions such as Autoimmune Encephalitis, Acute Myasthenia Gravis Exacerbation, Guillain-Barre Syndrome, Refractory Epilepsy, Meningitis, Headache, Primary and Secondary Brain Cancers, and Delirium. The facility has 20 ICU beds and is a Level I Trauma Center, utilizing EPIC as the EMR system.
Requirements
- Active OH License
- Board Certified (BC)
- BLS certification
- ACLS certification

Responsibilities
- Provide 24-hour call coverage one week per month.
- Manage inpatient neurology and hospitalist duties.
- Interpret radiologic exams, EEGs, and EKGs.
- Perform Brain Death Exams, EMGs, and Evoked Potentials.
- Conduct dysphagia screenings.
- Manage ventilation and acute volume/BP issues.
- Treat conditions including Autoimmune Encephalitis, Acute Myasthenia Gravis Exacerbation, Guillain-Barre Syndrome, Refractory Epilepsy, Meningitis, Headache, Primary and Secondary Brain Cancers, and Delirium.
- Round on all adult floors.
- Collaborate with APPs and other support staff.
