When you join us, you’ll become a part of a nationally recognized health system dedicated to our mission of “helping people live the healthiest lives possible.” About this role: As a Neurohospitalist or Teleneurohospitalist at Intermountain Health, you will work with a high-performing, patient-centered team committed to providing quality care and excellent patient experience. We can accommodate a combination of telehealth shifts and in-person shifts that best fits the neurologist's needs, including full-time telehealth work. Intermountain has a strong, well-established Teleneuroscience program. Since 2014, the Teleneurohospitalist team has provided Telestroke and inpatient neurology consults. Additionally, the tele program aligns closely with our Virtual Hospital subspeciality portfolio, which offers all types of specialty care across the system. In effect, this ensures patients can stay locally in their community with the necessary specialist care. Telehealth shifts may be worked from our virtual hospital building located near Salt Lake City, UT, or may be worked from home. In-person shifts would be worked from Intermountain Medical Center (IMED), Intermountain Health’s flagship hospital, based near Salt Lake City, Utah. IMED is a Joint Commission Certified Comprehensive Stroke Center, Level 1 Trauma Center, Level 4 Epilepsy Center, Joint Commission Certified Spine Center. IMED is ranked as a top hospital by U.S. News and World Reports, 5-star CMS ranking, and Leapfrog grade A. There is no concurrent telehealth work during in-person shifts. In this role, you can anticipate: Providing 24/7 Tele-Neurohospitalist services, or in-person neurohospitalist services 1.0 FTE is 2,080 hours per year, spilt up into 12-hour day/night shifts, and swing shifts (approximately 15 shifts/month) Mix of days, nights, weekends, and holidays Position provides telehealth (stroke, inpatient neurology consults) support to the Intermountain hospitals and several outreach sites in Utah, Nevada, Arizona, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, Colorado, and Alaska Neurohospitalist positions are a part of our larger Neuroscience Institute group which includes Neuro Critical Care physicians, Epileptologists, Neurosurgeons, outpatient Neurologists, Neuro and Spine PM&R physicians, Neuro Psychologists and Psychiatrists The neurohospitalist team works closely with the neuro-intensivists team who cover the neurocritical care unit, as well as tele-neurocritical care consults throughout the system.
