Neurohospitalist
About The Position
Seeking a Neurohospitalist for a Locum Tenens position in Marshfield, WI. This is an inpatient role covering supplemental needs from June 22 to August 28, 2026. The coverage is clinical only, with specific shifts available in June, July, and August. The schedule involves 7 days a week, 2 weeks per month, with Wed-Wed blocks available for 7 consecutive days. The patient volume is approximately 10 patients per day, and rounding is included. Support staff includes APPs and office staff. Procedures include stroke management and lumbar punctures. The facility is a Level II Trauma Center and uses Cerner EMR. A 15-minute response time for stroke codes is required. Temporary privileges are available, and travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance are covered.
Requirements
- Active WI License or willingness to obtain
- Board Certified (BC)
- BLS certification (AHA)
- ACLS certification (AHA)
Responsibilities
- Provide Neurohospitalist coverage
- Manage stroke patients
- Perform lumbar punctures
- Round on patients
- Respond to stroke codes within 15 minutes
