About The Position

The NeuroHealth Institute at Baylor Scott & White Health is recruiting a Neurohospitalist in north Austin. This position involves providing inpatient neurological care in a community hospital setting, with tele-stroke opportunities available. The Neurohospitalist will join a larger collaborative team of Vascular Neurologists and Neurohospitalists who cover stroke and inpatient care needs for the system. Baylor Scott & White Medical Center – Round Rock is a 168-bed, full-service hospital with a Level IV Trauma designation and a Level II Maternal Designation.

Requirements

Doctorate Degree in Medicine
Licensed to Practice Medicine in the state of Texas by the Texas Medical Board
Where Applicable- Employee shall be currently board certified in his or her specialty or demonstrate active pursuit of board certification as defined by the appropriate specialty board of the American Board of Medical Specialties or the Bureau of Osteopathic Specialists

Nice To Haves

Fellowship training in Vascular Neurology is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide inpatient neurological care in a community hospital setting.
Tele-stroke opportunities are available.
Join a regional neurology team comprised of 8 neurologists, 2 APPs, 3 technologists, nursing, and administrative support staff.
Join a larger collaborative team of Vascular Neurologists and Neurohospitalists who cover stroke and inpatient care needs for the system.
