About The Position

The Carondelet Neurological Institute, in partnership with Tenet Health, offers a two-year advanced fellowship designed for neurologists ready to transition into full-scope neurointerventional practice. This program allows fellows to train alongside internationally recognized faculty at one of Arizona's premier Comprehensive Stroke Centers, gaining experience in one of the region's highest-volume cerebrovascular programs. With dual DNV-certified Stroke Centers, 24/7 access to two biplane angio suites, and a collaborative multidisciplinary team, the program provides procedural depth and academic rigor for a neuroendovascular career.

Responsibilities

  • Train for full-scope neurointerventional practice
  • Maintain independent neurology practice and receive competitive compensation
  • Participate in 1,000+ neuroendovascular procedures annually
  • Perform 150+ mechanical thrombectomies per year
  • Manage complex aneurysm flow diversion, acute stroke thrombectomy, AVM embolization, carotid and intracranial stenosis, and rare vascular pathologies
  • Engage in one clinic day per week for outpatient continuity and longitudinal patient management
  • Participate in a robust call structure, including 7 ED neurology calls per month for acute stroke triage and endovascular decision-making
  • Conduct research, including participation in national/international clinical trials and multicenter registries
  • Publish and present findings at SNIS, ISC, and AANS/CNS
