The EEG/Neurodiagnostic Tech I is responsible for performing routine diagnostic EEG, Evoked Potentials, and long-term epilepsy monitoring recordings. This position operates under the supervision of the manager and requires working at multiple MHS locations, necessitating personal transportation. Strong customer service, communication skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality patient care are essential. Internal contacts include workgroup staff and supporting departments, while external contacts include physicians, nurses, patients, patient families, and caregivers.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Graduate of an accredited Neurodiagnostic program recognized by ABRET
  • R.EEG T. certification by ABRET or RET Canadian registry or registry-eligible within 12 months
  • Earn credentialing from ABRET within stipulated timelines: Within 12 months from date of hire if graduated from an accredited program
  • Within 12 months of completion of an ABRET approved pathway
  • BLS certification
