About The Position

This role performs electroencephalographic testing in the laboratory and at the patient's bedside. The Neurodiagnostic Technologist will perform neurological testing using a variety of methods including digital and video EEG, and processes results. They will validate physician orders and document patient and family histories, integrating the findings of EEG and EEG video data into clinically meaningful interpretations. The technologist will notify supervisor or leader of any problems regarding equipment failure or maintenance needs and maintain supplies. Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required
• EEG / LTM / Nerve Conduction / Neurodiagnostic experience highly preferred
• Adherence to BJC EEG Training Program, with training collaboration at Barnes Jewish Hospital, as needed based on experience

Responsibilities

• Perform inpatient and outpatient studies, including: Routine EEG, Long-Term Monitoring (LTM) for adult and neonatal patients, Ambulatory EEG, Nerve Conduction Studies (NCS) in accordance with established clinical protocols and physician directives, assisting with Electromyography EMG testing
• Ensure accurate data collection and adherence to all clinical standards
• Perform other lab duties as necessary
• Performs neurological testing using a variety of methods including digital and video EEG, and processes results.
• Validates physician orders and documents patient and family histories.
• Integrates the findings of EEG and EEG video data into clinically meaningful interpretations.
• Notifies supervisor or leader of any problems regarding equipment failure or maintenance needs.
• Maintains supplies.
