Education Unlimited is seeking energetic and experienced neuroanatomy instructors for its fun, activity-based summer programs. The Neuroanatomy course will cover basic neuron cell biology, how neurons work together, and the anatomy and physiology of various brain systems, focusing on the cerebral cortex, subcortical structures, and the visual system. The course is interactive, utilizing videos, images, and hands-on activities such as building models, dissecting sheep brains, and engaging in lab demonstrations. A culminating event will involve students presenting case studies in a Grand Rounds-style format, adopting roles like neurologists, psychiatrists, or neuro-radiologists. Both in-person and online teaching opportunities are available. Online instructors will teach the curriculum, supervise campers online, lead virtual labs (with students receiving supplies by mail), and execute a final showcase. They will also track student work and submit deliverables. Online instructors need their own computer with reliable internet, Zoom, and Google Classroom access, in a quiet setting. In-person instructors will teach the curriculum, supervise campers in and out of the classroom, lead labs, and execute a final showcase. They will also track student work and submit deliverables. In addition to teaching, instructors will assist the camp director with supervision, recreational activities, and administrative tasks. They should be mature, reliable, and work well with staff. Instructors will also mentor students, assist with field trips, and guide excursions. Instructors are responsible for student health, safety, and fulfilling instructional objectives, with staff support. For overnight programs, instructors can commute or stay on campus. Overnight staff receive room and board and assist with evening supervision.
