Neuro Telemetry Nurse
About The Position
The Neuro Telemetry Registered Nurse delivers compassionate, high-quality, evidence-based nursing care to support patients’ health outcomes and recovery. The RN performs assessments and skilled procedures, implements patient care plans, and organizes and prioritizes care while considering patients’ needs and comfort. The role calls for sound clinical judgment, critical thinking, and timely responses to changes in a patient’s condition in a fast-paced care environment. The nurse collaborates with an interdisciplinary team, advocates for patients through holistic care, and demonstrates accountability for ethical practice, including addressing or escalating concerns. The RN communicates clinical findings to physicians and other providers using SBAR and conducts nurse-to-nurse reports at the bedside. The position is based at Saint Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center in Phoenix, Arizona.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Registered Nurse (RN) qualification.
- Arizona RN licensure.
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Nice To Haves
- One year of recent acute care experience.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive, safe, effective, evidence-based nursing care to achieve desired health outcomes.
- Organize and prioritize patient care activities while balancing patients’ needs and comfort.
- Demonstrate accountability for ethical behavior and support ethical practice by addressing or escalating issues.
- Advocate for patients’ needs and demonstrate holistic care practices.
- Recognize changes in patients’ conditions, including changes in lab results, vital signs, signs, and test values, and respond in a timely, clinically appropriate manner.
- Use the SBAR format to notify physicians and other providers of clinical findings.
- Perform nurse-to-nurse reports at the bedside.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to support optimal patient outcomes.
